About This Programme
The Advanced Diploma in Business Administration has been developed to provide a qualification for students aiming to embark on a career in one of wide range of business/industries, and for students who are seeking to further their education in the fields associated with Management and associated fields of study. One important feature of this programme is that it has been designed for students whose first language is Chinese, or who have proof of proficiency in the language.

By the end of the programme, graduates will be able to demonstrate the accounting and finance related knowledge, which will be further developed and integrated into broader business knowledge, skills and professional values and ethics.
Corporate Strategic Management
Strategic management involves the formulation and implementation of the major goals and initiatives taken by a company’s top management on behalf of owners, based on consideration of resources and an assessment of the internal and external environments in which the organization competes. Strategic management provides overall direction to the enterprise and involves specifying the organization’s objectives, developing policies and plans designed to achieve these objectives, and then allocating resources to implement the plans.
Electronic Commerce
Electronic commerce, commonly known as E-commerce or eCommerce, is trading in products or services conducted via computer networks such as the Internet. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as mobile commerce, electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems. Modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web at least at one point in the transaction’s life-cycle, although it may encompass a wider range of technologies such as e-mail, mobile devices, social media, and telephones as well.
Entrepreneurship
“Entrepreneurship” may result in new organizations or revitalize mature organizations in response to a perceived business opportunity. A new business started by an entrepreneur is referred to as a startup company. In recent years, the term has been extended to include social and political forms of entrepreneurial activity. Entrepreneurship within a firm or large organization has been referred to as intrapreneurship and may include corporate ventures where large entities spin off subsidiary organizations.
Principles of Logistics and Supply Chain Management
To understand Logistics and Supply Chain Management from their theoretical basis, on their definitions, operation pattern, their importance in business development, their business economic value creations, enhance business competitiveness through Supply Chain Management, the effect on global economic development by the Logistics Management, and the future development trends on Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Hospitality & Tourism
In the dynamic and ever changing hospitality industry, it is imperative that today’s hotel and resort managers embrace change, manage markets, retain customers and ensure their property remains vibrant and successful. This subject aims at corporate, strategic, financial and management issues facing today’s hospitality managers.
Employment Relations
This module provides in-depth knowledge of employment relations functions in both its theoretical and applied dimensions. It will also provide practical insights and actual examples of managing employee relations issues drawing on the cast experience of the trade unions in labour relations matters.
Graduation
Upon completion of this programme, students will be awarded ‘Advanced Diploma in Business Administration’ and may progress to a Degree Programme.

Programme Aims
The primary objective of the programme is to enable students to have an in-depth understanding through theoretical studies of business subjects relevant to various industries in the commercial environment. The programme is focused in developing business and operational knowledge to prepare students to have basic operational skills in Business Administration. The Diploma in Business Administration aims to provide students with:
- The ability to present, evaluate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- The ability to develop lines of argument and make sound judgements in accordance with basic theories and concepts of their subject area, and the ability to communicate these accurately to a range of peers
- A range of personal and professional skills that can be used in a wide range of situations and contexts

Assessment method, graduation and awards
Students must take and successfully complete all modules to be awarded the LSBF Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (Mandarin). Students must complete all modules, students who fail to do so will be given a statement of results.
Students must achieve an overall passing grade of 40%. If students fail to achieve an overall passing grade, they will be permitted to retake based on the directions given by the examination board.
The assessment of each module consists of:
- Individual assignment or class test: 20%
- Class participation: 15%
- Class presentation or class test: 15%
- Examination: 50% (2 hours)
Project Management, Operation Management and Organisational Theory & Behaviour assessment consists of:
Examination: 50% (3 hours)
Assignment / Class test: 50%

Graduation and Awards
Students must complete and pass all required modules in this programme to receive an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (Mandarin) certification.
Students who are for any reason unable to complete the Advanced Diploma and who have successfully passed a minimum of 4 modules are eligible for an Exit Award of a Diploma in Business Administration (Mandarin).

Entry requirements
- Ages 18 years old and above
- Proven evidence of having completed a Diploma in a related field, or
- Have completed High/vocational school with 5 years related experience
- Language Proficiency in Chinese equivalent to Year 11
