LSBF in Singapore is proud to launch a new International Hospitality Management diploma. The diploma is a one-year programme featuring a six-month work placement arrangement in the one of the most dynamic cities of the east – Singapore!
As an entry-level programme, the new diploma awarded by LSBF will give students an excellent training ground to prepare for a rewarding hospitality career in Singapore and in Asia. Upon completion of the diploma, students may choose to progress to the Advanced Diploma level or find employment in Singapore’s booming hospitality industry.
Recent reports suggest that the hospitality and recreational services sector is Singapore's most attractive sector to work in. In spite of this, the industry is experiencing a talent crunch to meet Singapore’s grand plan to attract 17 million visitors and create 100,000 jobs by 2015.
Mr RathaKrishnan Govind, Managing Director of LSBF in Singapore, said, “We launched the Diploma in International Hospitality Management because we saw a rising opportunity and need for more professionals to be trained and skilled in the hospitality sector. With Singapore poised to become one of the world’s global tourism hubs, we aim to attract more aspiring hospitality professionals to give them the right skills and expertise so that they are ready to work here or anywhere in the world.”
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Students will gain practical and hands-on learning experience through the On-the-Job-Training or Industrial Attachment component. They will benefit from a well-blended mix of strong academic curriculum and supervised practical work through LSBF’s extensive network of industry partners, giving them the right exposure to perform well in the hospitality industry.
