Until May 2026, ACCA students have the exclusive opportunity to earn a degree from Oxford Brookes University, a renowned and highly respected UK institution.
This programme, jointly developed by ACCA and Oxford Brookes University, allows students to achieve a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting upon successfully completing the ACCA Fundamental Level examinations.

Combine your professional achievements with a Research and Analysis Project (RAP) to gain a 360 credit Bachelor’s degree from a leading UK university. 330 credits are gained through passing your ACCA exams and the remaining 30 credits are gained through passing your RAP.
Stage 1 – Briefing
Introduction to the requirements of the Research and Analysis project
Stage 2 – Meet your Mentor
Engaging in meaningful discussions with your mentor on your research report progress.
Together, mentors and mentees can schedule these sessions to ensure guidance and support every step of the way.
Stage 3 – Presentation
Present your findings from the Research and Analysis Project to your mentor, showcasing the culmination of your efforts.
Upon successfully completing all three stages, the project will be submitted to Oxford Brookes University for thorough assessment and grading, marking a significant milestone in your academic journey.

The Oxford Brookes University BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting aims to enhance and extend the knowledge and skills gained by ACCA students in their professional studies.

Students are required to submit a 6,500 word Research and Analysis Project and a 2,000 word Skills and Learning Statement to Oxford Brookes University.
Submissions will be assessed by the Oxford Brookes University Business School in May and November.
May 2026 | Final opportunity to register and submit the RAP. Also the final opportunity for RAP resubmissions for RAPs submitted prior to May 2026. |
November 2026 | Any individuals who fail the RAP at the May 2026 submission will have one opportunity for a resubmission in November 2026. |
December 2026 | Closure of the BSc programme. Anyone registered on the programme who has yet to meet the assessment criteria will no longer be able to achieve the BSc. |

The Certificate is awarded by Oxford Brookes University.

ELIGIBILITY
Who can apply for this programme
Local/International Students Entry Requirements
Students studying for the Preparatory Couse for ACCA are automatically opted into the Oxford Brookes University BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting Programme upon registering for the ACCA qualification. All students and members must submit all requirements for the BSc programme by May 2026, please refer to the ACCA’s webpage for further information.
Before commencing the Oxford Brookes University BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting programme, you must successfully complete the ACCA Fundamental Level examinations F1 to F9 and complete the Professional Ethics module.
To be awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting, you must:
- Be registered with Oxford Brookes University (ie. opted into the BSc degree scheme before passing any of the three ACCA Fundamentals papers F7, F8 and F9)
- Pass the three ACCA Fundamentals papers F7, F8 and F9 and pass other papers as required to successfully complete all nine Fundamentals level papers
- Complete the ACCA Professional Ethics module
- Complete and pass the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project
1. To submit your Research and Analysis Project in the May submission period, this must be completed by 15 April of the same year
2. To submit your Research and Analysis Project in the November
submission period, this must be completed by 15 October of the same year
The degree must be completed within 10 years of your initial registration onto ACCA’s professional qualification, otherwise your eligibility will be withdrawn.
If you are unsure of your eligibility for the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting degree, you should first refer to www.accaglobal.com which will tell you whether or not you have opted into the degree scheme or are eligible.

Language Entry Requirements
Oxford Brookes University have aligned their English Language Proficiency requirements with those of ACCA so students no longer need to submit an English language qualification such as IELTS to ACCA for approval.
Oxford Brookes University have also provided an alternative to the 10 year rule.
