Elementary Workplace Literacy English for Foreigners

This course aims to help students:

• To understand basic workplace English where English is their second language.
• To master a total of 2000 basic words of vocabulary, grammar and simple application of English in the workplace.
• To be able to speak, read and write elementary English in the workplace.

The content of this programme include:

• Pronunciation skills
• Vocabulary building exercises
• Workplace related listening, speaking skills and practices
• Workplace based discussion topics
• Elementary conversation skills

• Activities carried out through the Elementary Workplace Literacy English program include classroom based teaching, group work, discussions and formative assessment.
• Each session lasts 3 hours.
• 3 hours x 12 sessions = 36 hours of study to be covered over a period of 3 months.

Upon successful completion of the Elementary Workplace Literacy English for Foreigners program, a certificate of attendance will be issued to students who have attended the programme and will be qualified to study the Elementary Workplace Literacy English program.

• This programme is suitable for adult learners with little knowledge of English and wish to improve their English further.
• By the end of the program, students will be able to interact in a comfortable way, to read, write, speak and understand long texts on daily workplace English.
