I am from Canada and started teaching 15 years ago. I have been working as an English Language teacher in Singapore since 2009. I have taught children, teenagers and adults, at all levels ranging from beginners to advance in International Schools through to Private Education Institutes. I have taught in Indonesia, China, The United Kingdom and Singapore.
I enjoy teaching both children and adults. I have worked with students from many different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. I have helped students and adult learners to prepare for Cambridge exams such as Cambridge First and Advanced. I have also conducted courses prepping students to take the IELTS. In addition, I have experience in1:1 tuition focused on business English skills to high level executives in MNC’s
I believe in a communicative approach in class, allowing students to develop fluency through real life exercises. Also I like to focus on consistently building the students study skills which allows learners to become more autonomous with their learning.
During my free time, I play badminton and play football with my two young boys. Experiencing different types of food is one of my favourite past times as I feel it is a gateway to discovering new and exciting cultures.
